“As we learned more about the orphanage, we became more aware of how different lifestyles can be and how important it is to give back. It created empathy, but for a long time we weren’t very involved because of school and distance. When our parents suggested we take ownership of some of the fundraising campaigns, we loved the idea. We’ve been excited to think of ways to contribute—both to the orphanage and to local communities. This is just the beginning, but it feels meaningful because we get to build it ourselves.”
