Expanding Locally in Charlotte
Neighborhood Food Drive for Common Heart Home Non-Profit Organization
As part of our commitment to building local impact, this was our first neighborhood food drive in Charlotte in collaboration with Common Heart Home.
To ensure meaningful impact, we intentionally limited the scope of this drive to a small group of families (4) and focused on collecting the most essential food items identified by the organization.
How We Organized the Drive
We designed the food drive to be simple, structured, and easy for donors to participate:
- Identified the most needed food items directly from Common Heart Home
- Prioritized essential categories like grains, canned goods, and ready-to-eat meals
- Created a custom donation flyer for doners to specify the content
- Provided donation bags to make participation convenient
- Coordinated neighborhood pickup and collection

The drive collected a wide range of essential food items, including:
- Cereals and breakfast items
- Rice and grains
- Pasta and meal kits
- Canned vegetables and fruits
- Protein items such as beans and canned chicken
